The Island of Destiny

You quickly turn away and try to run up through the hills. The girl yells something and a moment later you are stopped by a spear sticking through your shoulder. You take a few more steps and -zip- another spear shoots through your chest. You now know death is inevitable. You fall to your knees and gaze out at the mountains you never will get to explore. "Is this my destiny?" you think.

The answer comes when a bullet hits the back of your head.
