The knights Lady

"Well met Sir Guy" Alinor said politely. She sat erect in her seat, but her mood was clearly not as good as her posture."

"And well met yourself Lady Alinor." Sir Guy leaned on elbo casually on the table and rested his chin on his hand. He took in her sullen mood and grinned. He couldn't believe THIS was the girl on the road. The dress she was wearing now clung to every one of her womanly curves, and there were a lot of them. Her green eyes were huge and she had a slight flush to her cheeks. He almost thought she was angry about something. He hoped she wasn't still mad about how he addressed her at the meadow. Perhaps if he apologized, she would flash a smile. "I suppose I had that little 'short cut' coming after the way I treated you on the road. I hope you are not still angry about that. You certainly got me back, it took hours for me to finally get into the Stables."

At the mention of the stables Alinor lost her tightly held control. "Well!" She snapped, "There has been no shortage of filth sucking scum in our stables today has there!" The Baroness heard this outburst and shot a warning glare at Alinor.

Robert, as always came to Alinor's defense. "Please excuse Alinor's mood, she just found her sweetheart in the hay with another girl." Robert shared a chuckle with Sir Guy, but Alinor was NOT amused.

"Robert!" She cried out "You don't have to share my misery with everyone in the hall" Embarassed, she hid her blush by taking a deep sip of wine.

"Come now Alinor" Said Sir Guy, "Any boy who chooses another over you is a fool! Besides," He looked down at her ripe bosom, "You are quite beautiful and still young, I am sure you'll have another sweetheart soon."

The Baron shared a look with his wife, the kind only long married couples can share. Alinor smiled at the kind words of Sir Guy. She looked into his eyes and noticed for the first time just how blue they were. The were the color of the sky on a cool fall day.

Sir Guy was entranced by the pretty young girl at his side. When she smiled she went from pretty to beautiful. Her green eyes were like emeralds and he could see the end of her copper red hair poking past her silk veil.. He longed to see the rest of her hair and run it through his fingers. But then he remembered that this was the Baron's daughter. He wanted to swear fealty to Draken. Flirting with his daughter was not the way to do it.
