Your earpiece crackles, "It's no use, we can only pull away a few escorts! The carriers will just keep going!"
"Relax," you reply, "we just need to take care of these three and then we can go after the carriers."
"I hope you know what you're doing."
You go for the nearest escort, and fire on it with your plasma cannons. It's destroyed, but meanwhile the other two have launched missiles. You try to evade, but it's no use. You are destroyed, and all three of the carriers and most of the escorts continue on to the station.
