You and Jake go to the core of the station where Jake works. Although you aren't really paying attention to him, you do manage to at least pick up that he's talking about how the station is powered, what he does in the core, etc. That sort of thing doesn't really interest you though, so you pay little attention.
Eventually the conversation turns to the various rumours about an impending attack of the station. You say that you doubt that the station will be attacked, and as if fate had a sense of humour, just at that moment you hear an alarm indicating that the station is in fact under attack. The alarm then changes pattern and tone to indicate that not only is the station under attack, but it has been boarded too.
By now, you and Jake have made it to the very heart of the station. You're in the control room for the core.
"Richy, what do we do now?" Jake asks over the sound of alarms.
