The neverending story

You are a horse.
The next morning, you begin your training.
Despite the wrongness of enslavement, Michael is a gentle and patient instructor. Rather than trying to break you, like a normal horse would be broken, he explain each step to you, guide and advising you as to proper behaviour and response.
You learn to accept a bit and bridle, to wear a saddle comfortably, and to carry a rider. You learn to follow the directions given to you by reins, and how to pace yourself to maintain various strides for long periods of time. You learn healthy diet for a horse, and come to understand when and how much water to drink.
After three weeks, your training is complete.
One bright Saturday morning, Michael Equine saddles you up and rides you into the nearest city, where he takes you to a public stable, and puts out word that he has a horse for sale.
By late that evening, you've been inspected, felt up, and had your teeth poked at by over 30 people.
The next morning, two men return. The first is a nobleman's squire dressed in expensive attire, with instructions to buy you and bring you to his master. The second, is a broad-shouldered, square-chinned fellow with a greatsword strapped to his back.
Michael insists on 300 gold pieces for you, and both men are prepared to pay.
Michael lets you choose which man may buy you.
