The demon scam
You turn to Naria and say, "I am really grateful for your help so far, but I think we should go on alone from here."
Naria blinks at that, but then shrugs. "Okay, suit yourself." You stand up, taking Merle's hand in yours as you bow a little to the demon. "Farewell then..."
You turn and walk away to continue your quest alone.
You are not sure how much time that passes, it's hard to keep track of here, and everything looks the same to you, so you're beginning to wonder if perhaps you are walking in cirkles...
When you start to doubt that anything will ever happen again, you finally see a town up ahead.
