You frown a little and says, "We should stay here and rest for a while before we go on, okay?"
Merle nods and smiles a little. "Alright..! I can play with the rocks again."
You lean back against one of the rocks, closing your eyes half-way to get some rest, though you do not dare to fall asleep. You keep one eye on Merle and the other on the surroundings.
You also take the chance to borrow Merle's hair ribbons to bandage your side with. It's not perfect, but it's a whole lot better than nothing.
After a couple of hours, you get up again and say to Merle, "Are you ready? We should get going."
Merle nods and takes your hand, letting you lead the way through the endless, rocky landscape.
You are not sure how much time that passes, it's hard to keep track of here, and everything looks the same to you, so you're beginning to wonder if perhaps you are walking in cirkles...
