The demon scam

You nod to the demon. "Yes..." Without letting your eyes off her, you reach out to take Merle's hand. "Come on, let's go."

You hurry away, feeling the demon's eyes on you, but she doesn't come after you.

You pause, letting go off Merle for a moment to look about, wondering where the heck you are... Not that it matters though, you were lost to begin with, weren't you?
