The demon scam
"Please spare me!" you beg, dropping the dagger. "I didn't mean to.. just don't kill us!" You shiver, the pain from the slash across your cheek burning like fire.
Merle just stares at the demon in horror, saying nothing, and then she suddenly gets up and dashes off.
"Merle!!" you yell after her, but she isn't listening.
The cat-demon flicks her tail and watches you with contempt. "How pitiful... you do not deserve my mercy."
You turn your back on the demon and run after your sister instead. Luckily, you are faster than her so you soon catch up with her again and take a firm grip of her arm. "What are you doing!?" you scold. "We have to get out of here together, so stop messing around!"
Merle struggles. "I don't want to! Let me go!" But off course, you don't want to do that.
