"Well, thanks," Jezirea started akwardly, "for helping me out of your pit fall..."

The man simply nodded, only acknowladging that he'd heard her and not saying anything in responce. It only made Jezirea feel more akward as the silence stretched between them.

"Anyways... I was on my way to Bygoville, and I guess I'd better get going," she said, not waiting for the man's lack of responce before turning and heading away from him.

She hadn't been walking very long before she realized she was being followed. She could hear steady footfalls not far behind her.
She stopped. The footsteps stopped.

She glanced over her shoulder, and glared at the strange man. He didn't seem to be phazed, and he wasn't even making an effort to hide the fact that he was following her.

She turned and began walking again. The footsteps followed.

What was his deal?
