The demon scam
As the creature come around the rock, you see that is is a female cat-demon with a long black tail and fuzzy ears perking up from her dark hair.
"P.. Please don't eat us!" you gasp, hoping that even demons might show mercy sometimes.
Mere says nothing and just stares at the demon, looking scared.
The cat-like female blinks her eyes in slight surprise, flicking an ear. Then she starts laughing. "Don't fret, little ones," she says, "You are way too sweet to be eaten - my teeth would rot."
You exhale your held breath, feeling slightly stupid.
