The demon scam
You give an annoyed growl. "Fine then, what do YOU wanna do?" you ask, more or less glaring at her.
Merle pouts and then points in the opposite direction than they came from. "I wanna go THAT way!"
"Sure, whatever," you say, too tired to argue. You might not be able go back to the mortal realm the same way you came you came in anyway, so you might as well let Merle have her way. At least it keeps her quiet and happy.
After you've walked for a little while, you see a lone figure up ahead.
