Steve 2, The Fall of Margaritavile

The elevator binges as it opens upon the bridge of the SPOT. Mormons move from place to place among the different stations. A lot is going on. Jess walks up to you. "Good, I'm glad the homing beacon on Norman worked so well, speaking of which he should be fine, Melvin is working overtime on him. Onto bigger matters people, Comms, bring em up." She shouts out. Above her two video screens open up. President Harrison Farr is on one, the other is a still picture of the skyline of Seattle, Washington.
Jessica begins to speak, "At 0800 (8am) hours this morning, the Airforce carrier, Arizona took this video over the city of Seattle." The video screen of the skyline began. Suddenly portals opened up all above the city. But nothing came out. they just sat there. Millions of little portals forming a big one. "These have been reported over every major city in the northern half of the U.S."
"My god" Jourdan says. "There's more. We received this message from the president a few hours ago." The other vid screen begins to play. Harrison begins to speak. "This is a message to the Mormon elders. At approximately 0800 hours, we received information about a massive troop movement within the country of Canada. This takes us by surprise as we did not know that Canada even had troops. Large troops have massed at the border between Canada and America. We have recently received intel that the Canadian government may be working in conjunction with the one known as Nicole, the one whom we were assured pacified by your organization." You gasp, because it seems warranted "The helicopters, those were Canadian?!" Robbie shouts in amazement. "Indeed they were" answered Jess. The president kept on. "At this same time we observed portals like those used by Nicole's hordes in a much higher quantity over our major cities. And just 30 minutes ago, we lost contact with Japan. Mormons. if I may speak in the frankest of terms. What the hell is going on over there?" The message ended. It was quite. Everyone looked at each other.
A beep sounded. An automated announcement played. "Incoming message"
"Onscreen" Jess said. The screen blinked on and Derek's smiling face appeared.
