Shemaru

"I think we should attack immediately," you finally decide.

"Thank you!" Stuart's head bobs in triumph. "Let's just get this over with."

Janis looks disgruntled but he nods as well. "Fine. Begin scaling the cliff."

You start attacking the cliff face, and it is more strenuous than you expected. By the time you reach the top you are huffing. These people did a good job simulating discomfort.

"You alright? Was that too much for you?" Janis smirks, standing up tall. Seems like he won't forgive you for not agreeing with him.

Before you can respond the rest of your team is up the cliff. Janis addresses them.

"We're just going to charge. Don't hesitate. And don't stop fighting."

You all nod solemnly. You must admit, you did not expect the game to end this quickly.

You unsheathe your sword as your team begins the attack. Luckily, it seems you do have surprise at your side. Only three of your enemies have time to ready their weapons before you start fighting.

Just as you start thinking this battle will be a cinch, you see two of your teammates fall to the ground. With arrows in their chests! While you were traveling they must have been getting better equipment.

Janis throws one of his knives at the throat of the shooter, and he falls to the ground. However, as he turns back he is cut down by the enemy team's beta tester.

You slash at a nearby enemy without remorse. He dodges the swipe the first time, but the second time he isn't so lucky.

You scan the field. Damn! There are only three people left alive in the Shemaru Plane: the enemy tester, Stuart, and yourself. The tester comes closer to you, sword brandished high.

You back up slowly, knowing that if he kills you and then Stuart the game will end in your defeat. You begin running, but you are too slow. Stuart calls for you to stop, and so you two can defeat him together.

"C'mon, charge him!" he yells. "I've got some knives I'll throw. We can do this!"

The enemy stands his ground, knowing that if he stops turning his back will be facing one of you, meaning death.

"Now!" Stuart yells, and you run at the tester, trying to chop off his arm. The tester blocks your sword but not Stuart's knives. They land in his stomach, and he begins bleeding. You pick up your sword and rush to him, waiting to deliver the finishing blow.

"Don't do it," the enemy beta tester says. "Don't kill me now." He can barely talk with the blood in his mouth, and his words are difficult to comprehend. "I have information you want. Information that could save your life."

"No!" Stuart yells to you. "Do it! He just wants to win this game himself! We can end it now!"

You look at the man's face, trying to discern if you can tell if he is speaking the truth. You can tell nothing. But you don't have much time, Stuart is going to retrieve his sword and kill him.
