You try casting your friends and family first.
Your friends aren't interested in being in the movie. One, whom you have known for years and try to cast for the lead role, is unable to do it because of work schedule conflicts (besides, you can't afford to pay people...) Your family seems to think that you should include home movie footage of the family Christmas get-together and your younger sister's birthday, thinking that will make a great movie that people will want to see... THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT WON'T WORK IN SOMETHING YOU'RE TRYING TO USE TO LAUNCH A FILM CAREER!!!
