Shemaru
"I'm going to stick with Janis," you affirm. "He knows what to do. He'll get us out of this mess...and then we can get out of here, and be heroes."
"Heroes with him?" Stuart smirks. "That could never happen. If you win with a beta tester, you lose. Now, please, if any of you want to split with Janis, follow me."
Amazingly, every other person on the team files behind Stuart. His smirk widens. Janis looks dumbfounded and helpless as every member of his team except you leaves him and departs into greater depths of the forest.
"Retards!" Janis screams as loud as he can, hoping someone will hear him. "You can't survive without me." Janis turns to you. "Well, needless to say things have not gone to plan. But as you're the only one here now, it is time I tell you something very important."
There is a playful glint in Janis's eye. Or is it a malevolent glint? "What are you talking about, Janis?" you implore, intrigued.
"This place is much more dangerous than you might think," slowly Janis's hand moves to his sword. "You came here to be killed."
Sweat begins to bead, slow and cold, and drips down your face. "What are you talking about?"
Now Janis's expression turns smug. "Why do you think that we brought all of the richest boys in the world here at one time? A coincidence? No. You're all here as hostages."
You are frozen in place, you cannot even shiver. "What the hell? I don't believe you. Cut it out. My parents are billionaires. My lawyers will blow your fucking brain out."
"Tsk tsk! Swearing is no good! Keep your head on or I'll have to literally take it off! But no, I am honest. We here at Asian Amusements are associated with an underground terrorist organization. We're going to make this a spectacle. You're being broadcast on live TV across the world right now. If we don't receive fifty million dollars each for your pitiful lives, you will be killed."
You need to bolt. You need to run. But you need to know. "You can't kill me! No one can die in this game!"
Janis laughs. "This is no dream. You do not suddenly wake up when I bring this sword to your neck. No, you will die. All those precautions we told you about? All false. If you die in the Shemaru Plane you die in real life. And we have your bodies in those pods anyway. You think we couldn't kill those?
"But no, you will be killed in the Shamaru Plane. That will be put on every headline in the world. What a way to get your message across."
Now it was time to formulate a plan. You need to keep him occupied. "And what message is that?"
Janis looks at you oddly. "All of you are rich. For too long have the rich oppressed those less wealthy. It is time the beggars and tramps inherit the thrones of earth. It will be a Beautiful Wreck of the World."
"And who controls this terrorist group?"
Janis sword is now out. "That is for me to know, and you to never find out. Time to die. All the world watches the death you know is coming, and they know why you must die."
"Heroes with him?" Stuart smirks. "That could never happen. If you win with a beta tester, you lose. Now, please, if any of you want to split with Janis, follow me."
