You spin around, gun raised and prepared to fire. But the hulk of a man is upon you too fast, and he tackles you to the ground.

Fists come slamming into your face in a rapid, repetitive flurry of force. You feel the cartilage in your nose crack, blood flowing from your nose like a leaky faucet. And still the fists come.

Suddenly you see an arm come around the man's neck from behind, and a knife cuts across your attacker's throat. The body goes limp and you roll it from atop you.

Coryn stands above you smiling, bloody knife in hand. You owe her your life and she knows it. But who says you're an honorable man anyway?

She helps you to your feet and you thank her with a nod.

"Two against one," she says, "See what I mean? That worked out rather nicely, didn't it?"

Above you a voice booms, "198 contestants remain."

"You got the second kill, Coryn." You say.

"I couldn't have done it without such a magnificent bait," She says.

You curse her inwardly. Certainly though, you admit, she is a worthy ally.

The two of you walk on for a few hours before you come to a sudden end to the jungle terrain. It is most peculiar the way the jungle suddenly just ends to become desert. You can almost draw a straight line along the desert/jungle edge.

The two of you look at it for a while. Coryn's eyes meet your own. "Do you want to go out there?"
