"There's too much risk involved in robbin' a train." You say, "Anytime the government is involved in something, you can count me out."

Gus gives you a cold glare while Annie crosses her arms over her chest and smiles triumphantly.

"You're a damn idiot," Gus says.

"The US Marshals watch the trains, Gus." You remind him, "It's not that your idea is bad, it's just that so many have had that idea that the government has the US Marshalls watching for it now. And I don't care how well we operate together, I'm not about to challenge them."

Gus drinks down the rest of his mug and slams it down on the table top. "Go to hell," he says to you, rising to his feet. Then he looks to Annie, "What room are we in?" He asks, holding his hand out for the key.

Annie digs into his pocket and hands him the key, "212," she says to him. "Don't be sore at the boy for goin against you an' makin' a intelligent decision, now."

"Fuck you too, Annie," he says as he turns away and starts to storm off.

You call after him, "If you want to commit suicide I got rope tied to my saddle. Just don't go tryin' to hang us up beside you!"

Gus does not reply.

You and Annie look at each other and laugh. Annie takes down the rest of her drink. "Drink up, boy," she says, "I'm buyin' a round and then headin' off ta bed."

She stands and walks to the bar while you take the ale down in four huge gulps, letting out a resounding belch at the end.

You look around the saloon and take in the crowd, you shudder a bit as you look at the bar and see a man that you recognize as a member of the Vigilantes. Thankfully, he hasn't noticed you. He might not even know about what happened yet, you figure. He's not stationed in Fullton with most of the Vigilantes, so he might not have heard. Either way, you have a very limited amount of peaceful time in this town. You are sure that Kallow will be infested with Vigilantes looking for you over the next few days.

Annie comes back with two mugs of ale. You point out the Vigilante to her and she suggests that the two of you drink quickly and get up to the room. You do not argue with her here.

The two of you take town the ale and head upstairs to your room wherein Gus is alreday snoring.

You lay down on the hard floor and find sleep sooner than you expected.
