You kick at your horse's flanks fiercely in the hopes of spurring the steed to desperately faster speeds. You glance over your shoulder and note sourly that they are not giving up, and that their pursuit continues.
You decide that it will be best if you direct your attention ahead of you; what is behind you is more of a distraction than anything else. The view from behind is not exactly promising with your former captors giving such an enthusiastic chase.
You lead them into the barren desert for hours before one of them gets up close enough to take you down. You hear a gunshot ring out from behind you and brace yourself for the bullet to rip through your skin, but it never happens. Suddenly your horse buckles in pain and rolls onto its side, launching you from the saddle.
You get to your feet and take off running, but realize soon how futile your attempted escape truly is.
They surround you on horseback and tie you up with rope, using countless knots to secure you. Then they strap you to the back of one of their horses and start galloping away.
"You know we could've done this the easy way." One of them says to you while securing one of the many knots in the ropes that bind you. You glare at him with menace, but he laughs it off. Looks like your threatening gazes aren't nearly as intimidating when they are coming from a bound prisoner.
Not long after tying you up, the men remount their horses and start galloping into the desert as the sun slowly begins to descend from it's heights in the sky. Eventually night comes and the men make camp, leaving you tied to the horse's back. They offer you food and water and you accept it. At some point during the night you are able to drift off to sleep.
