He saved your life. If you were unwilling to potentially return the favor, you doubt very strongly that you would be able to consider yourself a man. And, according to the last time you checked, you do have a set of balls between your legs.

You turn Betty around and kick your heels into her flanks. She responds accordingly, increasing her gait to almost double the original speed. She's always been a good horse.

You duck your head down against the wind to limit the amount of wind resistance, drawing your gun as you approach the group. There are five of them. They appear to be ruffians; one of them has his horse up against your Indian friend's. He backhands LoneWolf in the face. The warrior seems about to return the blow, but the men around them draw their guns. Bunch of fucking cowards, you think.

One of the men turns his horse so that he is facing you. Apparently, he heard the hoof beats of Betty approaching fast. His gun is out, you can see that despite the distance, but he doesn't fire as he is not yet sure who you are.

You use this to your advantage, take aim and pull the trigger. A clap of thunder fills the air and a bullet shoots forth from your weapon to strike the man in the chest; knocking him off his horse.

The other men turn to face you as well, their guns drawn and taking aim. LoneWolf leaps from his horse to tackle the nearest man to the ground.

They fire upon you, but you are low on Betty's back and avoid any bullets. You fire around Betty's head and take another down. LoneWolf stands up and pulls another man down from the back of his horse. Only one more man remains on horseback, and he has begun to ride away.

You close one eye and squint the other, blocking out all distractions before firing you pistol. BOOM You watch with satisfaction as the man's hands go out to his sides in pain, and he falls from his horse's back to the desert ground.

You dismount and walk up to LoneWolf. He shakes your hand and pulls you close for a hug before taking a step back. "Thank you my brother. I owe you my life."

You shake your head. "I was simply returning the favor LoneWolf.

"You should not have helped me." He says sadly. "These men are members of a local band of bad men known as the Vigilantes."

Great. More Vigilantes, you think.

"They will seek revenge upon you." He says.

"That's OK." You say, shrugging your shoulders. "They're already looking for me."

"You have killed them before, then?" He asks.

A smirk comes to the corners of your mouth. "Not exactly," You say, "I bedded their leader's woman."

LoneWolf laughs at this and claps you on the back. "That was a very stupid thing to do." He tells you, shaking his head before getting on his horses back.

"You are a crazy white devil," he says, lookomg down at you from his steed. "You should not be heading back to Fullton, then. That is where they have the most men."

You look in the direction of the town before meeting his gaze. "I figured that would be the last place they would think to find me." You say.

He looks at you very seriously, "You truly are crazy then." He looks to the horizon in the distance before looking to you again.

"You do not have to stay in that town, my freind. My people will welcome you to our village when I tell them what you have done. We will have a feast in your honor.

"Will you join me?" He asks.

You get back onto Betty's back and consider your next move. You are quite certain that the Vigilantes will not find you if you hide under their noses. But the prospect of being an honored guest among the Kamani is one that you can't rightfully pass up. You are also quite certain that the Vigilantes will not seek you out among the local Indians.
