Shadows Of The Lost

I looked directly into Anju's eyes. She didn't seem to even notice, like she was off in another world. "Anju, I need you to do a favor..." I say, trying to get her attention. She started to look at me, probably wondering what I have in mind. "I need you to go around and look for every crack that the creatures might be able to get into..." I said, trying to be as calm as I could. Anju's grip tightened on my hand. "Wha...what?! No! I can't alone! Not in the dark...!" cried Anju. She grabbed both my hands and pleaded "I can't leave without you...! You're the adult, you gotta keep me safe...". I didn't say anything. She was trembling, it was easy to tell. "I mean...with all the people dieing in such little time..." continued Anju, but she was interupted by the shaking of the house. The T.V. suddenly turned off, and all that could be heard was a screeching sound. Like a...train...

"...wha...? Whats happening...?!" cried Anju. At just that moment, the wall with the door on it was being grinded upon by a massive train. Rubble and debris shot everywhere, leaving me and Anju to hide behind the couch.

12:46. I started to come from behind the couch, crawling towards the edge. There was a lot of dust, but through it, I could see the door blocked by the train. It was cracked open a bit...and to my horror, there came a shadow from out of no where. It began to creep through the crack in the door, and started to sweep left and right as if it were searching the area. It seemed to take notice of me, and almost instantly lunged at me.
