Shadows Of The Lost

Ignoring my stomache trying to communicate with me, I sat on the couch and pulled out the remote control from between the cushions. Pushing the ON button, the T.V. flashed and the whole room was illuminated. There, I saw the news. I really didn't want to see that at a time like this...

The last thing I heard was 'creatures' before I switched to another channel...but there was the news again. Something about 'global' and...'barricade'... Boring...

I flipped to another channel, but there it was again. 'Breaking News'. What could be going on at Midnight?
