You begin knocking on the barrels, so far nothing. Finally you get one that sounds a little different. Of course maybe it's just an empty barrel, but it still sounds like something is inside. You use your weapon to open the barrel, the contents surprise you.
There's a corpse stuffed inside it and even worse it looks like there's still wine residue in the barrel meaning this body was probably inside the thing before it was drained of wine. A nauseating idea.
Still, no point in thinking about it, you didn't drink the stuff after all. You pull the body out and search it for something. You expect to find nothing really, but you're surprised once again and find a regular gold ring which you can take to sell later.
Your breaking of the barrel has alerted something though, and it's not from upstairs, its close by. A WIGHT has entered from a secret passage nearby and savagely attacks you.
