Legend

As you prepare to get some rest for the night, Ludmilla suddenly appears from the shadows half dressed as usual.

"I wouldn't do that just yet, I have some things to discuss with you."
"Gah!! What're you doing here hiding in the shadows, sneaking around in my room?!"
"To prove just how easy it can be to assassinate someone."

You begin to reach for your weapon, but Ludmilla shakes her head, and approaches you.

"No, I'm not here to kill you. First of all if I wanted to kill you, you'd never know it, you'd be to busy feeling the ecstasy of passion just before the knife was plunged into you." Ludmilla gets on top of you to better illustrate her point.
"Damn…" you say completely entranced by her completely successful efforts to seduce you.
"Indeed. Second of all, I need you to help me assassinate my father."

You break out of your trance, and sit up…but still leave Ludmilla on top of you.

"What?! After all the trouble I went through to gain his trust, put up with aristocratic abuse, save his ass by killing his cultist son and put down a rebellion to keep him in power?"
"Yes."
"Well…is there any particular reason why I should? I mean despite having to hear his abuse sometimes, he's been alright with me. Not to mention my goal of becoming well known has come true while working for him."
"While that all may be true, you'll always just be an underling. He may even try to have you killed! Think about it. Your deeds HAVE made you well known. The people probably even like you better, or even if they don't you're at least more feared than him. He's probably starting to distrust you anyway. You put down a rebellion practically by yourself. Think about it, by getting rid of him, you'd be doing this city a favor and YOU could take power! You could make things better in this city if you so desired. The time has never been better. There's still instability, there's still hatred against my father, and the people would still welcome a change. You say you want your name to be known and be remembered in history, well here's your chance."
"Hmm, you make a convincing argument, but what about you? What do you get out of all this and obviously you're skilled at treachery, why haven't you killed him, or had someone else do it already?"
"There's never been anyone in my father's court that he's trusted enough to get as close to him as you can, let alone brave enough. I see a strength in you that would allow you to perform this action. And as for why I haven't…this might sound strange, but I can't kill my father. At least not personally. I have pondered it many times, but I for whatever reason something within me cannot bring myself to do it. Perhaps its weakness or cowardice on my part, or perhaps it's because I remember a few of the good times when we got along when I was a little girl, but I know he must be deposed. He's driving this city into ruin and it's not just his cruelty. It's the corruption. Did you know that those Hobgoblin bandits you were sent to stop had actually been employed by my father? He had them ambushing merchants so he could take the riches for himself! The Hobs just didn't like it when my father started cutting them less and less from the profits so they betrayed him. He even has ties to the Ebony Claw Syndicate. Everything he does is for his own benefit. I know you probably think I'm no better than the other aristocrats and nobility that you've been exposed to the whole time you've been in our employ, and maybe I'm not, but I do see the side of the common people, and they should have more freedom, and I see that someone like you could change things, and me…by your side as your wife…" Ludmilla puts your hands on her waist and stares into your eyes intently.

She's doing it to you again
