He looks at you nervously and attempts to act like he doesn't know what you're talking about, but after a suspicious look from you, he realizes he's in no position to hide anything.
"Very well I guess there's no point in hiding it. Well of course as you can see I'm an alchemist, but lately I've been trying to expand from just creating simple potions. Specifically life."
"What, you mean like raising the dead or making a golem?" you ask.
"Em, not exactly. Those usually require a lot of knowledge in magic, and in the case of golems, a lot of skilled craftsmen. No, I'm doing something a little more scientific, which involved breeding and vivisection uh, different creatures."
"You're deliberately creating monsters? You ask.
"No! Its not like that! I was trying to createÂ…I dunno what I was trying to create! A pet I guess! A friend maybe! Nobody ever comes in here anymore!"
"Well maybe its because you're creating monsters."
"I just said it wasn't like that! Now if I was a Wizard summoning up something, it would be accepted and okay, but because I already take existing beings and try to make them better, I get ridiculed!"
