Legend
Grarak and Dagrok look extremely displeased by your unwillingness to give up the hammer.
"This isn't a request lad, now you'll be givin' up the hammer, or you'll be givin' up the ghost! Now what's it gonna be?" Kragrok asks.
"I told you this was a bad idea! Tellin' outsiders about our secrets! Let's just chop his head off an' take the bloody hammer!"
"Right!"
The Dwarves don't give you a chance to reconsider, they attack.

If you win, you find you find 15 gold pieces, rope, a box of Dwarven snuff, and 2 rations.
And you also lose 3 alignment points for your betrayal; you lose 2 more if you looted the tombs as well. In any case, you've incurred the wrath of the Dwarven gods who have just placed a curse on you. Subtract 3 from your Initial LUCK score! Until you rectify this, most dwarves will sense that you're cursed by their gods and treat you accordingly.
Mark down that you've been cursed by the Dwarven gods. (You needn't do this if you're a Technologist, you still suffer the LUCK effects, but you aren't permanently marked)
And yes if you're a Priest of the One True God, you're STILL cursed, because even though they're a bunch of inhuman pagans, your actions were STILL unbecoming of one of the faith and as such you'll get no sympathy from God, not to mention these are dwarven grounds.
As an added insult, the ancient dwarven warhammer isn't anything special, and if it is, it isn't going to display its powers to the likes of you! You can use it, but it's just a regular weapon.
