The Black Citadel
You are back in the dimly lit room containing a stone altar and black candles that you were in before. But to your surprise, Vandil isn't here with you. You wait here for a few minutes hoping he will just materialize here in front of you on the portal, but there is nothing here except the flickering of the candles and the mutilated bodies of the dark ones in the room.
Perhaps the Vandil reappeared on a different portal, and you assume maybe the different hued patterns, changing every few seconds on the portal had something to do with it. You wait until the hued lights on the portal suddenly vanish.
You decide to head back to the fork in the corridors that you originally arrived at when you came up the stairs.
