Final Quest
You feel a sudden heat in your pocket, and remember the golden amulet you found in the room with the golden dragon. Backing slightly away from Rurona, almost bumping into Torai and Alasse who are behind you, you put your hand in your pocket, and take the amulet out.
Instantly, Rurona freezes, her eyes drawn to the glowing amulet. She stares at it for a long moment, then, slowly, she lowers her hands, the anger seeping out of her features.
"What's happened?" Rurona asks, looking around.
You open your mouth, but it is Alasse who answers, "Your home has been enchanted... Do you remember?"
Rurona hesitates for a long moment, then slowly nods, lowering her head. "Yes... I remember everything that has happened. My home is now a place for wizards and witches to trap dragons for their evil spells. Many of us have been changed by their magic, but I am free now."
"Can we trust her, do you think?" Torai speaks in a low voice, but Rurona still hears him.
"I understand your reluctance to trust me, considering that I led you here," the ghost says. "I can give no excuse for my actions, save that while I was away from this castle, its evil influence had left me, and I believed that you would be able to lift the curse."
"I think we can trust her," you say to Torai while Alasse nods her agreement.
"Thank you," Rurona says, bowing to you. "I will see what I can do to free the others from the influence of these evil wizards and witches." With those words, she disappears.
