Silent, but Deadly

You quietly crawl to the edge of the commanding officer's quarters. A guard stands fire-watch and walks his post, as any hard charger would do. You wait until he walks right past you, then, you thrust your bayonet through is skull. The amount of force is enough to hold him up and gently lay him down to the ground.
The commanding officer still lays asleep. You creep up to him and notice that his is holding something under is arm. Could it be something valuable to the mission? Or, could it just be a decoy? You need to move along. You remove his knife from his pack and drive it through his heart. He had no chance.
Now, the moment you have been dying to know… what was that object he held so close to his body that might cause the national security to be threatened. He breaks the hold from the corpse and his anxiety ceases. It was only his teddy bear.
Time to go. You scurry from his quarters and run along the tower's wall. You must go on. The only way is up, but how?
