Final Quest
"We ought to go to my kingdom now," you say.
"Just a moment," the green dragon replies. "There's something I want you to see. It won't take long. Get on my back."
You do so, surprised that you no longer feel afraid of falling. Maybe you're now getting used to riding on the green dragon.
The dragon lifts off, and flies to a small, beautiful clearing. In one corner is a lake completely surrounded by trees, and birds sing while little animals scamper around. There is a small hut opposite the lake.
When the green dragon lands, you get off, and stare around open-mouthed. "What is this place?" you whisper.
"Where I come when I want to be alone," the green dragon answers. "Would you like to share it with me?"
You stare at the green dragon, not sure what he means.
The dragon's form shimmers slightly, and then a young, handsome man is standing there. He has long white-blond hair faintly tinged with green, and he wears a green tunic and black trousers.
You stare, shocked speechless.
The dragon, for that is who the man is, smiles gently at you. "Esther," he says in a low voice. "I fell in love with you when I first met you. You were so sweet and kind, and cared so much for this world. Don't answer right away, but I would like you to be my wife."
What do you say?
