Final Quest
The ghost's form changes so that the outline is that of a young woman wearing a crown.
"Can you hear me?" you ask.
"Yes," the woman answers. Her voice is faint, and slightly echoing.
"Esther, what are you doing?" the green dragon demands.
The ghost turns her sad eyes to the green dragon. "I do not wish her harm," she whispers. "Though I am a ghost, I still know what will happen if this world is destroyed."
"Who are you?" you ask.
The ghost turns her gaze to you again. "I was once the queen of this castle," she replies. "Queen Jade. When we were attacked and put to the sword, we all became ghosts."
"Is there anything you can tell us about this castle?"
"Yes. There are many traps here. Ahead of you, there is a door. The door is a trap, so you may not continue this way. If you go through the door, you will die. If you see any other ghosts, do not speak to them. Do not even look at them, and certainly do not show any fear. If you pass the traps safely and find my husband, tell him that Jade sent you, and she still remembers."
"Thank you," you say.
"I need no thanks. I have just done what is needed." Queen Jade's voice gets fainter and fainter. Then, with a flicker, she disappears.
