After ten minutes of silent walking you and the girl come across the final part of the passage. All the lights are out, so you proceed with utmost caution.
"Halt!" a voice calls out over the gloom. "We know you are here, intruder. Come with us, or it is time to die. No one infiltrates the Lair." You cannot recognize exactly where the voice originates, but you can fathom that it came from somewhere off to your right.
Based on what you just heard, there is only one man, but perhaps you are incorrect and it is an ambush lying in wait in the dark unknown. You fall back to the passage's wall with the Item. Do you fight or surrender yourself?
