Vertiginous from emotion, you close your eyes and start to massage your throbbing pate. When you cautiously reopen the peepers, you realize that the world has treacherously tilted itself in an alarming fashion. Dash it all, the second you take your eyes off the ground, it betrays you!
There's no time to go around blaming things as you see the good earth surging towards your schnoz. Thinking quickly, you leap to your feet while leaning backward rapidly and circling your arms for balance.
It all would have worked, if that bally bench hadn't been right behind you. You flip over it, head first into the pond.
"Petey! What on earth are you up to now?" giggles the blighted Cuddy.
