Jun 16, 2011 | I currently live in 'Britain' England..yet, I don't really get much of the humor in this...yet, you have the ability to write a story that others may find funny, and..who the hell says 'cor' (and the other weird words) nowadays?? I s'pose I don't live in the 'British' parts...I don't even have an accent. :O

Mar 19, 2007 | Brilliant! I liked how you mentioned India. This is a rather fine example of Wodehousean humour. Definitely a 10.

Aug 22, 2005 | Not terribly funny. But then, I'm not fond of this tyoe of low brow british humor. The high rating I gave you was based entirely on your ability to write, as your story was put together well and followed a coherent path. Good job.

Dec 30, 2004 | This is great! Reminds me very much of how my husband writes (he's a Brit, I'm American). You have this down pat when it comes to British-style humour. BRAVO!

Dec 17, 2004 | I didn't get any of the humor. AT ALL. And I love Monty Python, but it was really good writing and obviously took a bit of thought.

Dec 14, 2004 | Absolutely wonderful - the story line I read was pure Jeeves, and well written too.

Dec 11, 2004 | I've loved British humor since Who's Line Is It Anyway and Monty Python. This was refreshingly well-written! The only thing that bars a "10" is its incoherent circular redundancy. How can you wake up the next day in the midst of the same day? Anyway, I enjoyed the reference to Jael, Heber's wife. (Wink, wink. Nudge, Nudge. Say no more.) |
