The Black Citadel

After some time you arrive at low lying stone wall which looks like the remnants of an ancient fortification. Looking over the wall you discover that there is quite a drop below. A stone staircase descends here, however the centre has given way and rubble and stone fragments lie below at the foot of the wall. You walk down a little way and find that there are about five steps missing. You think you could make the jump down over the broken staircase, because there is no other way down. You jump over and manage to just get your footing on the other side, and you continue down. You know the black river must be near here so you follow the new path here east.
