The Pirate's Fate: The Expanded Universe
Morgana convinces Mila To search for the Rune
By: EpiPencil
Morgana and Mila spent the morning unpacking crates into some of the spare rooms. It took a while for Morgana to get used to her larger size, as she became out of breath faster, and kept bumping into things but eventually she started to get used to it.
She still had a bad feeling about the especially with how it had changed her and the crew’s memories. There was no way she was always this large right? Trying not to dwell on the panic inducing thought of such a thing, she decided right on the spot to go investigate.
However, there was no way she was going alone, lest her or everyone else’s memories get changed again. Darious wouldn’t listen to her though, and Leeko certainly wouldn’t investigate the spooky mansion, leaving only one other person who would actually accompany her.
Morgana waited till Mila was finished with the last of her crate before grabbing her wrist and leading her down one of the long, maze like corridors.
“C’mon” Morgana said impatiently “I can’t drag you everywhere so you’re going to have follow.”
“Where are we going!” said the panicked Mila, squirming out of Morgana’s grasp and coming to a halt.
Morgana stopped and let out a sigh.
“Look I’m sorry for how I treated you this morning okay? But something is up with this place. Whether you believe me or not I swear on my life I was not this big when we went to bed last night.”
Morgana prodded her softer stomach, her finger sinking before she stopped and continued.
“Whatever caused this, I’m going to find, and I know the others won’t believe me, which is why I wanted you to come along. I want your help to find… Whatever we end up finding”
Mila’s mouth opened and closed like a fish’s as she stood there absolutely stunned. She seemed to think about it for a moment before coming to a decision and straightening.
“Alright” she conceded “I’ll help you, only because you seem to really believe it.”
Morgana gave her a nod, and on that, they continued down the hallway once more.
