The Great Sael Adventure 1

You pull away, your lips still burning from his kiss.

"This isn't the time of the place," you whisper gently. You place your hands on his shoulders and tilt your head toward his. "You asked to talk, and we can talk. You didn't ask for this."

"Indeed," breathes the Commodore.

You continue on. "I don't know what that kiss meant! You might think you're being clear, but I don't know! Do you just want to kiss me? Do you wanna be make out buddies? Are you in lust with me? Are you in love with me? Are you looking for a romantic relationship? Are you just passing the time? Was this all a ruse, a ploy, a façade to hide behind because you saw me, thought I was vulnerable, and couldn't bear to talk to me like a normal person? What do you want, Commodore?"

The Commodore's cheeks turn red, his lips part, and he says nothing. He looks almost in shock at his own actions. His throat clenches, he swallows, and he begins to say something, but nothing comes out.
