“Thank you all for gathering here today at the South Meeting House” you heard a loud voice coming from the other end of the building. Curious, you pushed your way forward and climbed one of the benches to see over the crowd of people. There you saw a man in a read coat with a white wig, he looked angry, but fancy. “As you know the Sons of Liberty have been able to turn around nearly all of the shipments of tea from England”. The man paused for a moment and the room was quiet.
The man continued speaking. “The English do not respect the rights of the American colonies, and they tax us to pay for their wars and expenses without the American people having any representation in parliament! Hear me on this! The English would force us to buy their tea, not allowing any other nation to sell. This is nothing but another tax to fill their King’s pockets. We will not have our freedom threatened, we will not pay for this tea! Therefore, we can not allow that tea be unloaded on American soil! This meeting can do nothing further to save this country”.
When you got outside you saw that people were masking their faces and some even dressing up as Native Americans.
What will you do
