Everything Went Dark
Addie certainly hadn't expected this day to go as it did.
All that was supposed to happen was that she would pick up Elliana, take Elliana to tennis practice, go home, then go back to pick her up.
She wasn't supposed to get hit by a car that was speeding. And she also wasn't supposed to get thrown through the front window of the car. It wasn't her fault that the airbags decided not to work today. And her seatbelt malfunctioned too. Yes, it did keep her in place...but not like it should have. After the car slammed into the side of her car, her seat belt tightened. But the force of the hit somehow broke the seat belt?? And as Addie was thrown into the glass, her arm got caught in the seat belt and was nearly ripped off. Her other arm was bent weird because she never actually let go of the steering wheel.
Everything went white for her after that. She had heard crashing noises, glass shattering, some shouting, and right before she blacked out she heard sirens. Addie couldn't speak. Glass had gotten into her throat. She assumed that she was dead, why else would everything be like it is now? And she watched Tatum fall from the sky. The fall did look very painful, Addie was pretty sure she even saw Tatum's ribs stick out of her stomach. Tatum couldn't talk either, Addie didn't know why. After helping Tatum stand up, the two made their way onto campus to sit with their friends, even though they couldn't communicate with them. The two sat next to their friends. Tatum and Addie watched Jennan drink the cyanide. Addie didn't know that it was cyanide at the time, but Tatum did.
As Jennan died, Addie became infuriated. It wasn't fair with how quickly and easily it was to die. Something had to be done about this. After pondering this for a few more minutes, Addie had came up with an idea. It didn't feel like an idea that she would come up with, but here we are. She didn't know how it was possible, but she would get all of her friends killed.
An idea like that is extreme, but Addie became very determined. Tatum had moved to go see if Jennan needed any help, so she didn't see Addie leave. As someone who is dead, she assumed that she had supernatural abilities.
