Everything Went Dark
Staying hydrated would be good, especially since she hasn't had any water today. Jennan lifted the hydro flask back up and took a long sip. The sun shone really, really brightly in her eyes. It went so bright that everything went...white? Huh. Whatever. But what was weirder was when she could see again, Evie and Jack were gone. Addie and Tatum were in their place. Jennan immediately knew that something was off. Not because Evie and Jack had disappeared, but because of Addie and Tatum's appearances. Addie had a lot of glass stuck in her face and upper body, her arm looked severly broken, and her other arm was hanging on by basically a thread. Tatum was covered head to toe in blood, a lot of her bones were sticking out of her body, and it was difficult to see half of her face because it was so squished.
"What's going on?" She tried to ask. But no words came out. Addie and Tatum didn't say anything either, they just stared at Jennan. Jennan heard muffled shouts of panic. It sounded like Evie and Jack. But where were they? Tatum pointed, not pointed, she didn't have the working arm for that, so she used one of the bones sticking out of her arm to point at Jennan's face. Jennan didn't know what Tatum was doing. And then she felt something wet on her chin. She gently touched it. It was blood and-ew! Was that vomit? She hesitantly looked down and she saw that vomit stains and blood droplets covered her shirt. She looked at the water bottle in her hand. Was Tatum's water poisoned? And was she dead?
Evie and Jack's muffled shouts got louder. Jennan could feel her shoulder being shakened. And then Jennan blacked out and Evie and Jack's voices went quiet.
