Everything Went Dark
Addie watched Evie's eyes droop shut. She waited a few more seconds to make sure that Evie was fine before starting to hook her up to wires and such. It was the technology used to turn humans to aliens. After Evie was all hooked up, Addie walked over to Emma. Emma's face was now a darkish green, she was getting sick. Addie refilled the needle with the same chemical Jack snuck into the ice cream sandwiches. "I know you wanted to stay conscious, but I think you are regretting that decision. So I'm going to help yo-" Addie was interrupted by the door slamming open.
Addie whipped around and was met by a laser nailing her in the throat. She fell backwards and landed on the floor where she writhed in pain for a few moments. Very soon after, she stopped moving. Elliana shot Addie again for good measure before running to shut off the machines Emma was hooked up to. Once everything was turned off, the green in Emma's face had started fading. Elliana gently pulled out the needles that connected Emma to the wires. Emma flinched, but didn't make a sound.
"Are you okay?" Elliana asked. Emma nodded shakily,"Get Jordan, I'll get Evie." Elliana dashed over to Jordan, whose twitching had gotten even worse. Even after turning everything off, Elliana figured she couldn't remove the needles from Jordan without hurting her. As she was about to attempt to pull a needle out, Jordan went slack. A heart rate monitor that was near Jordan's bed started to do that long beep thing it does when someone dies. Elliana backed up. "Is Jordan okay?" Emma asked quietly, already knowing the answer. "Let's just get Evie unconnected from everything before Jack gets off of his break." Elliana sped walked over to Emma and helped her turn everything off. Emma had Elliana take the needles out of Evie because she was still shaky.
However, Evie was still unconscious, but that was fine for the time being. "Alright. We have about an hour before Jack's break ends. Do you want to know what's going on?" Elliana asked, looking at Emma. Well? Does Emma want to know what's going on?
