Everything Went Dark

"Unconscious? Alright. Lay down, you'll feel a little prick from the needle but other than that, that's the only pain you'll feel." Jack said as he picked up a very intimidating-looking needle from a tray near the lab bed Evie was on. Before she had the chance to lay down, the door to the lab opened. "Addie. Thank goodness you're here." Jack said, sounding relieved. He set the needle down,"I have zero clue on how to use anything in here, I was just gonna wing it."

"That...isn't smart. You could've just gotten me, you know when my break ends." Addie responded, scanning Evie to make sure she was okay. "Eh, you're here and Evie is alive. I'm gonna go on break now." Jack said, shrugging. He went to leave the room. "Where are Jennan, Tatum, and Elliana?" Jack didn't turn around and grabbed the door handle. "Tatum and Jennan are dead. I thought Elliana was already up here." He left the room. Addie paused,"Hmm." Then she sighed and shook her head. She turned to Evie. "Hi. Sorry about that. Everything will make sense soon, I heard Jack say you picked unconscious?" Evie nodded. Addie strapped Evie to the bed with the leather straps and picked up the needle Jack set down,"Alright. When you wake up, everything will be fine."

Evie felt her arm get pricked and then everything went dark.
