Superheroes are Normal?

The boy keeps staring at you with malicious intent carved into his features. You just raise an eyebrow, then walk away while spitting out a “Sorry” that totally lacked emotion, because who would be sorry for something that wasn’t even your fault?

You continue through the school gates with a sour mood due to that stupid angry kid almost trampling you over, but you try to shake off the feeling of annoyance bubbling in your stomach. You can already tell that today is going to be long and torturous, and you’re DEFINITELY not looking forward to every ice-breaker conversation that you’re going to be forced to take part in.

After a few taps on some elevator buttons, you’re on your way to your classroom’s floor. Wow, this school is so tall that it needs an elevator, it might as well be a college campus with how big it is!

With a small ‘Ding’ signaling your arrival, the elevator doors open to reveal dozens of kids chatting with each other in the hallway, some of them even showing off to others how good their power is. Personally, you find it extremely rude to degrade someone just because their power isn’t up to snuff, they just need more time and effort to build it up, that’s all. Maybe it’s because you don’t have your power yet, or you just sympathize easily, but you just think it was ridiculous to judge someone just because of how powerful they can be.

After a few minutes of walking aimlessly down the hallway, you finally are met with your classroom door wide open for you to see. All of the people inside look pretty nice, and the thought of actually gaining some good friends during the school year put you in a cheery mood.

Out of nowhere, the first bell had rung unexpectedly, startling you a bit. You better get to class and find a seat.
