Helen's Resurrection

You take a deep breath, look at the serpent, and ask, "What is your price?"

With a devilish grin, the serpent lifts its head and stretches to that it is looking you square in the eyes. A chill fills the air, making your chest feel tight. Helen’s grave grows darker as shadows wrap themselves around you and block everything else from view.

"I am not so cruel as to force you into a deal," the snake hisses. "You can choose what you would like to pay, another luxury God won’t afford you."

"Are you saying I can give you anything and you will bring her back?"

"Anything? No, of course not. Only a fool would trade something as valuable as a human life for anything less than what it is worth. There are two ways this can happen though: you can give me your life in exchange for hers or bring Helen’s body back to life with a new soul."

"What does that mean?"

"It means exactly what I said; however, if you don’t want to do either, I can leave you alone with your corpse."

"No, wait!"

"What is your decision, Alexander? I don’t have all night…"

Looking around, you can’t see Lamar anywhere. The tall dirt walls of the grave appear to be closing in on you. Breathing even becomes difficult as the air grows colder, like all light and warmth is leaving you. Finally, you blurt out the first answer that comes to your mind.
