"Leave him." I blurted out before Rose could commit the murder, making her look at me in shock and him to sigh in relief. I needed back up for what I said. How would I explain that a phantom whispered some cryptid bantha dung in my ear and I'm sparing the enemy because of it? "I'll finish him." I said, biting on my lower lip in anxiety. Navaien was let go and Rose smiled at me, flashing a grin so wild I felt goosebumps rise over my entire body. She shoved the knife in my hand, dusting herself off her already stained clothes. She was almost completely covered in red.
"Good soldier, Hux. I'll go wash off this cunt's blood before it stains my fingers as well." She turned to him as he was collecting his last breath, staring at us. "It was a pleasure, weasel." She grunted before putting in the code and leaving through the halls, hissing to herself. Navaien looked at me and then the knife, finally calming his chest as the door closed.
"Are you really going to kill me?" He asked, all desperation in his words cutting me hard. I've heard many beg for their lives from Frost but never from me. It was a different feeling. I closed the switchblade and shook my head, walking a little closer to the control panel where I disabled the cameras and recorded speech. The beeping lights went out and it was just me and him.
"Not if you tell me about the Ren business."
"You know about that? But, how did you-"
"It doesn't matter how I know. I spared you to find out."
Navaien stared at me and seemed to be thinking something over. His hands were still fidgeting behind his back and I reached for my blaster, ready for anything. Never trust a Corellian, they say.
"If I said I won't kill you doesn't mean I'm stupid. There's a billion stormtroopers out there that won't think twice before blowing your head off. You've got nowhere to go, so speak."
Navaien finally stopped fidgeting, brown eyes closing in relaxation finally. I could see his legs untensing around the bindings. "Leia Organa sent me to Arkanis to retrieve what she thought was her niece. Kylo Ren had a daughter years prior and it was mentioned that she was in Project Harvester."
My legs felt like their circulation was cut short. I stared at him and soon kneeled to find his eyes and try to see if he was lying, but his face showed only honesty. "Kylo Ren has an offspring? That passenger with you was.."
"Was not her. I didn't find anyone on Harvester, but I found her on the street below Arkanis Academy."
"Kylo Ren's daughter?"
"No, the girl with me."
"That's a girl?"
Navaien laughed a little through bloodied lips, furrowing his brows as a little bit of sweat dripped down his sharp nose. "I hope so, otherwise I really missed the point of the mission."
I couldn't believe he was on a interrogation chair and still laughing. I felt like my head was about to explode from pressure. "The boy you took with you, is he Force sensitive? Are you sure this daughter of Ren is not a son?"
"I'm sure as daylight, Captain. That's what General Organa told me. "Look for a girl with a burn mark, we need to turn her to our side before they get her. I can't lose another family member" she told me."
"How do I know you're not lying?"

I straightened up and peered over the glass, making sure no one was around. This was a chance of a lifetime. If it proved to be true, then everythin would be so different. Then my father could have a reason to become Supreme Leader, once the girl is found. And if all of this was a lie, we aren't landing for another week on solid land, he has nowhere to go. I can get someone to kill him immediately.
I wagered my options carefully, and then decided.
"I give you your life in exchange for you helping me find the girl. If you're saying what you're claiming is real, then you get to leave. If not, Rose is always close by."
