A Day in the Life
The cashier smiles and waves her hand back and forth in quick, short movements. She seems nervous but friendly... Its probably her first day as the cashier.
You quickly scan the familiar menu above the cashier and decide that orange juice and a snack for later is just the comfort you need right now. You grab a napkin from a container on the counter and then gesture the motion of writing with a pen. At first she stares at you with brows furrowed in polite confusion. Then, suddenly, her mouth forms an "ohhh!" as her chin raises with understanding and her eyes light with excitement. Just a tad awkwardly, she signs, "YOU DEAF YOU"
