A Day in the Life
You stop by this cafe often and pass by the usual lot of interesting people as you enter. Usually, you would be appreciating the atmosphere but you're still shaken and need to get in and out to arrive at work on time.
You glance at the familiar menu and decide that orange juice and a snack for later is just the comfort you need right now. As you're making your way to the cashier, you notice that there is someone new standing behind the counter. They must be a new employee... You wonder if there are any employees that recognize you around but you don't see anyone.
Usually, you would use your phone to jot down a note in an app on your phone but with the screen shattered, that won't work today. You internally sigh, realizing that you are going to have to get creative.
