You find yourself in front of Ari’s dorm late one night, and before you can convince yourself to turn back, your knuckle is lightly pounding on the door.

Ari opens in an instant, “Hey!”

A smile creeps on your lips, “Hi.”

“Nothing, come right in.”

You both settle onto the couch in the shared living room, luckily none of their roommates are home.

“So what’s up?” Ari notices your conflicted expression.

“There’s been something I’ve been needing to tell you and I wasn’t sure whether I should tell, because… my timing is horrible.”

“Come on, you can always talk to me.”

“I just…” You mumble, “I like you.”

You can hear the warm smile Ari has on, “Well aren’t I getting a couple love confessions.”

Your eyes widen, “He told you.”

“Yep, but I didn’t give him an answer. I thought a lot, and kept thinking, and then… you showed up. Which suddenly made me remember everything I loved about you since high school.”

You look up, eyes locking, your surprised expression makes them laugh. Soon, you laugh along with them. The uplifting weight that had been suffocating you melted away, and you didn’t even realize how freeing the whole situation was.
