This is what i belive supports the thoery of Pangea. Genisis also speaks of a firmament that was placed in the sky, like a dome, that seperated the waters above form the ones below. Most think the waters above are a metepohor for somthing else, but they ignore the simpelest answer, that the bible is refering to actual water. God created this dome to hold actual water about seventy miles into the air, is the estimate by biblical scholors and scientist. We know that water filters out Radiation, and so this sheild of water would keep from the earth all the harmful rays that come from space. Now it would also prevent rain. but in Genisis 2:6 it says that a mist went up from the earth and watered the plants. Chapter 2 also details how the Lord planted a Garden "eastward in Eden" now if the world was a pangea, then the river Euphrates and the other three mentioned in Genisis as the Bounderies of the Garden, could have existed in a completly different location the river that now flows through Iraq.
