One day, as you are living peacefully in your home on the coast of Nova Scotia, about 17-19 ships appear on the shore. At first, you don't question it, but then a man orders all the Acadian men to gather in the church. He tells everyone to sign an oath of allegiance to the British. This was an order from Governor Charles Lawrence. He was afraid the Acadians would revolt.
